about

Tennessee native Jitsu Gaiden is an artist ready to impact the hip-hop world with his eccentric brand, charismatic persona and carefree lifestyle. A cheerful youth who balances laid back, weed-induced raps with a progressively aggressive work ethic, the artist has been buzzing with his constant output, loyal fan base and followers of his Frequent Flyers Lifestyle movement. After releasing several projects and performing around the underground scene in the South and West Coast, Jitsu is currently bringing his art to a broader audience.

This push for greater success is highlighted in his latest single, “Rolling Stone.” Produced by Beeks Vybe, the record highlights the internal struggle between pursuing one’s dreams at all costs and caring for one’s most cherished loved ones. Lacing smooth auto-tuned raps over cloudy piano chords, Jitsu laments over a relationship with his ride-or-die girlfriend that is strained by his work ethic and hectic schedule. As he explains his lifestyle, mindset and situation to both his lady and his listeners, Jitsu reminds us that once we set our dreams in stone it is up to us to turn them into realities, regardless of what sacrifices we must make along the way.

After debuting the single, Jitsu also released the visuals for “Rolling Stone,” directed by Trell Films. In the music video, set against the backdrop of the Hollywood Hills, Jitsu and his woman go through the motions as a phone call dragging him to work in the middle of the night sparks an argument about his inability to spend quality time with her. As the video progresses, Jitsu’s girlfriend transitions from blissfully being with him to feeling frustration due to his work schedule, finally coming to accept the fact that this comes with the territory of being in love with an artist and beginning to encourage and support him through his struggle.

“Rolling Stone” is the latest single from Jitsu Gaiden’s upcoming project, Doped Owt, to be released mid November . The EP, a collaborative project between Jitsu and producer Beeks Vybe, also includes features from Tra Norwood, Johnny Boi Wonder and Evan Dupri. In addition to releasing Doped Owt, Jitsu is looking to build a rapport with his fans by creating music which speaks to them on a deeper level while allowing them to understand his point of view and live vicariously through his experiences. As a motto, Jitsu’s Frequent Flyer Lifestyle brand is a lifestyle for others to be a part of, rather than an exclusionary group for members to explicitly join. In 2017, Jitsu is looking to bring his brand of high-energy, high-intensity and high-volume shows to major cities around the U.S. and abroad, as well as providing fans with an increased output of music videos, documentaries, vlogs and behind-the-scenes footage of his everyday adventures.

Jermaine “Jitsu Gaiden” Dave first ventured into rapping at the age of 10, drawing inspiration of creativity from Michael Jackson. Uniquely Jitsu means Technique and Gaiden means story, so he tells his story through the technique of his music. It wasn’t until his freshman year of college nearly a decade later that he fell back in love with the craft He first started producing which insight rekindled that burning passion for creating his own music and the rest is history. His influence of style comes from rap pioneer Juicy J and Taylor Gang’s own Wiz Khalifa. Jitsu wants to inspire others to make their dreams a reality.

lyrics

"Getting money, blowing smoke.
Fast life, baby f*ck you slow.
No commitment thats all I know.
Sorry shawty just how I roll.

Sorry shawty just how I roll.
No commitment thats all I know.
Sorry shawty just how I roll." x2

Blowing up my line, I ain't got no time.
Young n*gga chasing qwap, shawty I'm on my grind.
Damn you looking too fine.
Bet that p*ssy all mines.

Girl Im out here paper chasing.
Keeping it trill with you girl, I'm never on that fake sh*t.
I pray my n*ggas we gone make it.
My past b*tches, I know they hating.

"Getting money, blowing smoke.
Fast life, baby f*ck you slow.
No commitment thats all I know.
Sorry shawty just how I roll.

Sorry shawty just how I roll.
No commitment thats all I know.
Sorry shawty just how I roll." x2

I was chasing you girl last winter.
Bought you all these gifts, even paid for the dinner.
Girl you f*cking running game.
One day you gone scream my name.

Kush kitten, f*ck her in the kitchen.
Then we hit the bong, take off flying in our zone.
My shawty miss me when I'm gone.
But Jitsu got to move this strong.

Blowing that smoke, counting my dough.
Im thinking of you and I'm feigning.
We f*ck and we fuss, trying our trust.
Im Drowning my sorrows, I'm leaning.
Always on go, I stay on the road.
She said she was done and she leaving.
Im tripping my n*gga I hope I was dreaming.

She ask me when I'm coming home.
I told her I won't be too long.
So I rolled another nimbus cone.
Just wait till daddy get back home.

"Getting money, blowing smoke.
Fast life, baby f*ck you slow.
No commitment thats all I know.
Sorry shawty just how I roll.

Sorry shawty just how I roll.
No commitment thats all I know.
Sorry shawty just how I roll." x2
